How & why ConsultantBox.com

Our background:
CB has been created by a husband and wife team based in Gothenburg, Sweden with both of us having worked in the SAP arena since 1997.

We have worked with many SAP end customers from multiple industries and have been fortunate enough to have succeeded in assisting many consulting houses in their bids to win contracts over the years. We have provided consultants to all of the major consulting houses on a global basis and continue to do so with many of these today.

We understand that there are still many companies focusing on price and, though CB offers an undisputed saving over traditional methods of hiring professional consultants, at all levels of knowledge, the true low cost consultants will not be found here - for that we make no apology, as we strongly believe in the SAP product, but also believe reputable consultants offer improved value for money over cheap inexperienced staff.

Our mission:
ConsultantBox.com - "The SAP Reference Bank"  - intends to become the industry standard through collaboration within the SAP community. When hiring any SAP consultant - the free and instant reference and rating solution is designed to promote the hard working SAP consultants, (at all levels directly to customers) by leveraging their own reputation without the need for agents or layers.

The original mission of CB was for the SAP community to identify the top SAP consultants by use of a standardised reference and rating template to improve visibility globally through knowledge sharing.

This belief in improving consulting standards comes after witnessing, multiple times the variation of effects a consultant can have on an SAP projects final delivery, where one unprofessional consultant can disrupt an entire team and, inevitably an entire project. In this global market differentiating the good from the bad had always involved a large element of guess work.

Why CB evolved:
The ability to hire through ConsultantBox was not part of the original concept but, with many consultants and customers complaining that agency commissions were standing in the way of getting the "right people", it became a natural progression to allow direct contact between proven professional consultants and customers, while also using this as a way to keep CB free from adverts - so the concept of open pricing at 10% was brought in but without any agent layers (though up to half of that is paid back to the CB members as a thanks for their support).

Why the rental program?
Offering "on the bench" consulting house staff as part of a rental program, was actually the brainchild from one of the workshops with our consulting house partners - the costs involved in retaining or retraining staff due to lack of current work, meant that "renting them out" created an instant improvement to both ROI and staff retention - it also appears to have improved morale at the companies.

We would like to personally welcome you to ConsultantBox.com so please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions.

Kind Regards/Med Vänliga Hälsningar from Sweden
